Our boys in RED have taken on their national colors and had a GOOD morning. If all these pre-season UNBEATEN games weren’t enough to get us excited for the 16th, our midfield had an impressive unbeaten day as well.
BRAZIL V Belgium. Lucas Leiva played a full 90 in the midfield, and helped in the scoring of the only goal by Anderson de Carcalho Andrade Lima Hernanes (how does he get his name on that kit?). Great job Lucas!
Ivory Coast V ARGENTINA. Mascherano played a full 90 as well, and played one hell of a defensive tackler. I was nervous from time to time watching this match thinking he got a good knock here or there, but he stayed calm (not really), cool and collected. Argentina went to win the game 2-1. With a fantastic run and passed the keeper Messi style in the finishing moments in the 1st half…then in the second half, Acosta comes in, and the ball does as well. For those wondering if Kalou scored?! NOPE! In fact, he was booked! Yay!
NETHERLANDS V Nigeria. No goals in this match, but Babel is FIT to play a full 90. That’s all that matter for me in this match. He had that assist and goal in the prior match. This is fantastic for our Babel, and good news with this whole Barry talk going nowhere (or is it?), Gerrard injured, is Mascherano or Babel coming to our rescue next week for the Champions League qualifier? We’ll have to wait and see.
So we have some good news from our midfield. Also, some quick news. Manchester United has drawn their match with Juventus yesterday. Some injuries? I did hear an unhappy Fergie very concerned with the match. Also, for our disappointed Sissoko fans, YES he was BOO’ed every time he had the ball. But, for you Sissoko haters, remember, LOOK AT OUR MIDFIELD right now!!!! Fantastic. No place for him to play and let him play decent ball for a Series A team.
I will have some new news soon! Well tomorrow after our Pre-Season friendly with Lazio. Oh yeah, and don’t believe the hype. Kyut is not going to Hamburg! NO WAY!
