Packing Their Bags? Macherano or Leiva?

Who’s coming home first? Whose bags are packed and ready to get on the plane back home? Who will we see on the pitch or the bench at Anfield on Saturday? At the half of this match…

Lucas Leiva V Javier Mascherano: The drama continues Head to Head!

BRAZIL and ARGENTINA is always an amazing rival game for both countries. The first half of the game is anyone’s win, or even at the final 90 then extra time, anyone’s draw, to anyone’s penalty win.

At LIVERPOOL

Lucas Leiva playing for Brazil, not much of a first squad player to start on Liverpool’s midfield, but has such a promising future with us. We’ve seen the kid play well in the Champions League, also subbed in some times for the Premiership.

Javier Mascherano has a starting role for Liverpool, and plays an amazing role with controlling the ball. Scored his first goal in the Premiership last season and also gave most Kopites a heart attack during the Manchester United game receiving a red card in the first half.

At the OLYMPICS

Both players have played an amazing run, but one player plays a massive role for us. Sorry if I haven’t watched most, or really any of the Olympics this time around, but I do read the news on our Liverpool boys. I still think we’ll be ok.

THE NEWS THAT MATTERS

- Babel is on his way back home!
- Mascherano is needed with the talk of Alonso leaving.
- Lucas keep up the good work and playing.
- We can beat Middlesbourgh on Saturday with Babel coming back.
- Let the best country win…

How does this all effect Liverpool? We have to admit it has…drawing 0-0 to Standard Liege without three key players. Gerrard DID come in, and our boys played better, but missing Mascherano and Babel has quite the hurt.

Off to watch the 2nd half! Enjoy!

Rafa's Boys playing a demanding role at the Olympics

Our boys in RED have taken on their national colors and had a GOOD morning. If all these pre-season UNBEATEN games weren’t enough to get us excited for the 16th, our midfield had an impressive unbeaten day as well.

BRAZIL V Belgium. Lucas Leiva played a full 90 in the midfield, and helped in the scoring of the only goal by Anderson de Carcalho Andrade Lima Hernanes (how does he get his name on that kit?). Great job Lucas!

Ivory Coast V ARGENTINA. Mascherano played a full 90 as well, and played one hell of a defensive tackler. I was nervous from time to time watching this match thinking he got a good knock here or there, but he stayed calm (not really), cool and collected. Argentina went to win the game 2-1. With a fantastic run and passed the keeper Messi style in the finishing moments in the 1st half…then in the second half, Acosta comes in, and the ball does as well. For those wondering if Kalou scored?! NOPE! In fact, he was booked! Yay!

NETHERLANDS V Nigeria. No goals in this match, but Babel is FIT to play a full 90. That’s all that matter for me in this match. He had that assist and goal in the prior match. This is fantastic for our Babel, and good news with this whole Barry talk going nowhere (or is it?), Gerrard injured, is Mascherano or Babel coming to our rescue next week for the Champions League qualifier? We’ll have to wait and see.

So we have some good news from our midfield. Also, some quick news. Manchester United has drawn their match with Juventus yesterday. Some injuries? I did hear an unhappy Fergie very concerned with the match. Also, for our disappointed Sissoko fans, YES he was BOO’ed every time he had the ball. But, for you Sissoko haters, remember, LOOK AT OUR MIDFIELD right now!!!! Fantastic. No place for him to play and let him play decent ball for a Series A team.

I will have some new news soon! Well tomorrow after our Pre-Season friendly with Lazio. Oh yeah, and don’t believe the hype. Kyut is not going to Hamburg! NO WAY!
